Lonbar (fa|لنبر) is a village about 100km (100miles) from the Caspian Sea. In northwestern Iran, it is the capital of Sanjabad-e Sharqi Rural District of the Central District of Khalkhal County, Ardabil province.[2]
At the time of the 2006 National Census, the village's population was 1,498 in 343 households.[3] The following census in 2011 counted 1,309 people in 345 households.[4] The 2016 census measured the population of the village as 921 people in 285 households. It was the most populous village in its rural district.[5]
