Liz Jolly is a British librarian who assumed the position of Chief Librarian of the British Library on 24 September 2018.[1] [2] She was previously the Director of Library and Information Services, then the Director of Student and Library Services at Teesside University from 2008 to 2018.[2] [3] [4] She was previously employed at the University of Salford,[5] the University of East London, and London South Bank University.[6] She is also a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals,[5] the Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufacturers & Commerce, and a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.[7] She is a member of the editorial board of the New Review of Academic Librarianship.[5]
