List of storms named Maring explained

The name Maring has been used for sixteen tropical cyclones in the Philippines by PAGASA (and its predecessor, the Philippine Weather Bureau) in the Western Pacific Ocean.

The name Maring was retired from use in the Philippine area of responsibility following the 2021 typhoon season, and will be replaced with Mirasol (a local name which derived from a sunflower) for the 2025 season.[1] [2]
