• Hurricane Camille (1969) – was the second most intense tropical cyclone on record to strike the United States (behind the 1935 Labor Day hurricane)

In the South-West Indian:

• Cyclone Camille (1975) – a strong tropical cyclone that made landfall to Madagascar in January 1975.
