List of extinct languages of Oceania explained

This is a list of extinct languages of Oceania, languages which have undergone language death, have no native speakers and no spoken descendant. The languages listed are spoken in Hawaii, Micronesia, New Caledonia, New South Wales, New Zealand, the Northern Territory, Papua New Guinea, Queensland, Samoa, the Solomon Islands, South Australia, Tasmania, Tonga, Victoria, Western Australia and Western New Guinea.
