Slovakia - landlocked sovereign country located in Central Europe.[1] Slovakia has a population of five and a half million and an area of 49036km2.[2] Slovakia borders the Czech Republic and Austria to the west, Poland to the north, Ukraine to the east and Hungary to the south. The capital Bratislava is its largest city. It is a member of the European Union and of NATO.
