List of Guggenheim Fellowships awarded in 1969 explained

Two hundred and seventy scholars, artists, and scientists received Guggenheim Fellowships in 1969.[1] $2,214,500 was disbursed between the recipients, who were chosen from an applicant pool of 1,977. Of the 66 universities represented, University of California, Berkeley had the most winners on its faculty (24), with University of Wisconsin and Yale University tied for the second-highest number (13). Columbia University (12) was third.
