Lin Bin (born 1968) is a Chinese billionaire entrepreneur, co-founder and vice chairman of Xiaomi.[1]

Lin graduated from the radio electronics department of the Sun Yat-sen University. Later he received a master of science in computer science from Drexel University.[1] [2]

After graduation, Lin started at Microsoft, where he worked on Internet Explorer.[1] From 2006 to 2010, he worked as an engineering director at Google and served as Vice President of Google China’s Engineering Research Institute.[3] In 2010 Lin co-founded Xiaomi together with Lei Jun and five other individuals, serving as president of the company.[4] After previously stepping down from his role, in 2019 he became the vice chairman of the company.[5]

Lin Bin made the 2022 Forbes Billionaires List with an estimated wealth of $5.1 billion and occupied the 536th position.[1]
