Lilly Contino (born January 31, 1993) is an American TikToker and video game writer.
Contino graduated with a bachelor's degree in media and cultural studies from Macalester College in 2015.
She worked as a business development lead at the online gaming platform Ryu Games.[1] She also writes about video games for Game Developer.[2] Prior to working in video gaming, she worked for Lost Tribe Esports, a Jewish teen engagement non-profit organization.[3]
Contino is a TikToker who livestreams videos of her dining at restaurants around San Francisco. She made videos about her gender transition and experiences as a transgender woman.[4]
In March 2023, Contino was verbally assaulted by another woman while dining at The Cheesecake Factory in Union Square, San Francisco.[5] The woman, who threatened Contino with physical violence, stated that she was a "TERF." The incident, which was streamed on Contino's social media account, became a viral video receiving over ten million views.[6] [7]
In July 2023, while Contino was livestreaming on TikTok while dining at Crown & Crumpet in San Francisco, an online troll contacted the restaurant's owner to falsely accuse Contino of saying something inappropriate to a child customer.[8] [9] No child had been present during the live stream.[10] In November 2023, Contino filmed herself being misgendered by restaurant staff.[11]
In May 2024, a video Contino filmed at Disneyland, in which she discussed gender-affirming surgery, sparked controversy as online commentators accused her of acting inappropriately in a children's space.[12]
