Lies Permana Lestari Pudjiastuti (died 23 July 1967) was an Indonesian actress who was active in the 1950s. She was known for her role as Sulastri in Belenggu Masjarakat (1953) and in Kasih Sajang (1954) along with her husband, S. Bono.

Personal life

Lies was married to S. Bono, an actor and her co-star in Belenggu Masjarakat (1953) and Kasih Sajang (1954), with whom she had five children including Liesya Imany Permanasari, Bonita Permanawati, and Rini S. Bono (b. 1956), an actress. They divorced and one of their daughter, Rini, went to became an actress. She remarried to her second husband until her death.

Career

Lies started her career as an actress by made her film debut in Kasih Sajang (1954), which was produced by Persari. She starred in another Persari's production, Belenggu Masjarakat (1953) and Rahasia Sukudomas (1954), before later leaving the film industry for taking care of her family.

Death

On the evening of 23 July 1967, Lies was killed in a crash in Slipi, Palmerah. The scooter that was driven by her niece and her crashed into a truck belonging to Perum DAMRI when avoiding a motorcycle while turning into her house's alley, and causing her to bounce and crushed by a truck tire on her head. The contents of her brain was scattered two meters and her body was then transported by an ambulance that night. Her husband was overseas when the accident occurred.
