Lestoidea (superfamily) explained

Lestoidea is a superfamily of damselflies of the order Odonata.^{[1] [2]} It includes four families:

• Hemiphlebiidae Kennedy, 1920
• Lestidae Calvert, 1901
• Perilestidae Kennedy, 1920
• Synlestidae Tillyard, 1917

Note

It is important to distinguish the genus Lestoidea from superfamily Lestoidea. They have the same spelling, but the superfamily is based on the genus Lestes.
