Lenin (Ukrainian: Леніне|Lenine, Russian: Ле́нино, Russian: Lénino) is a commune in the Rîbnița District of Transnistria, Moldova. It is composed of four villages: Lenin, Pervomaisc, Pobeda and Stanislavca.[1] It has since 1990 been administered as a part of the self-proclaimed Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. According to the 2004 census, the village's population was 635, of which 176 (27.71%) were Moldovans (Romanians), 413 (65.03%) Ukrainians and 41 (6.45%) Russians.[2]
