Laskowa (feminine noun) is a village in Limanowa County, Lesser Poland Voivodeship, in southern Poland. It is the seat of the gmina (administrative district) called Gmina Laskowa. It is located approximately 8km (05miles) north of Limanowa and 500NaN0 south-east of the regional capital Kraków.[2]
A local tale suggests that a king and his people found a hazel forest here, and he ordered the village to be built, calling it "wieś Laskowa" literally village of hazel.
