Larry Wilson (businessman) explained

Larry Wilson is an American technology entrepreneur and venture capitalist who founded the Policy Management Systems Corporation, a publicly traded insurance technology company that merged with the Computer Sciences Corporation in 2000.

Career

In 1966, Wilson began working in the data processing department of an insurance company as a sophomore at the University of South Carolina.[1] In 1974, he founded the Policy Management Systems Corporation (PMSC), an insurance software company that went public in 1981.[2]  Wilson was named a top chief executive by Forbes Magazine[3] [4]  and The Wall Street Transcript.[5] In 2000, he sold PMSC to the Computer Sciences Corporation for $568 million.[6]

Wilson joined Pequot Capital Management as a partner in 2006[7]  and later FirstMark Capital in 2008.[8]  He has served on the board of directors of Unitrends, FINEOS, AssuredPartners NL, ISSCO Graphics, and Duck Creek Technologies.

Personal life

Wilson is an avid car collector. He owns approximately 120 automobiles, which he keeps in an 18,000 square foot facility in Jupiter, Florida.[9]
