Larkya La is one of the longest passes in the Himalaya of Nepal, situated at 5106m (16,752feet) above the sea level. [1] [2] [3] The name comes from the Tibetian Word "Larke" which means "intellect” or “soul” [4] As Per Buddhist Mythology, Buddhadasa, a significant Buddhist Monk prayed at this spot of Himalayas, and thus was marked a origination point of "intellect" and decorated with local flags.[5] It is located in between Dharmashala and Bimthang, and is the highest point in the Manaslu Circuit Trek.[6]
