Lakeside is a town in San Patricio County, Texas, United States. As of the 2020 census, the town population was 338.
Lakeside is located at 28.1053°N -97.8628°W (28.105254, –97.862722).[2]
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 0.4 square mile (1.0 km2), all land.
As of the census[3] of 2000, there were 333 people, 134 households, and 101 families residing in the town. The population density was 847.9sp=usNaNsp=us. There were 189 housing units at an average density of 481.2sp=usNaNsp=us. The racial makeup of the town was 90.99% White, 0.60% African American, 0.30% Native American, 0.30% Asian, 0.30% Pacific Islander, 7.51% from other races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 31.83% of the population.
There were 134 households, out of which 26.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 65.7% were married couples living together, 6.7% had a female householder with no husband present, and 23.9% were non-families. 23.1% of all households were made up of individuals, and 14.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.49 and the average family size was 2.90.
In the town, the population was spread out, with 22.2% under the age of 18, 8.1% from 18 to 24, 22.5% from 25 to 44, 21.9% from 45 to 64, and 25.2% who were 65 years of age or older.
