Lake Viking is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Daviess County, Missouri, United States. The population was 486 at the 2020 census.[2]

Geography

The Lake Viking CDP is located southwest of the center of Daviess County, around a reservoir named Lake Viking, an impoundment on South Big Creek, a tributary of the Grand River. The CDP extends southwest as far as the village of Altamont. The community is 3miles east of Interstate 35 and northeast of Kansas City.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 22.7sqkm, of which 20.4sqkm is land and 2.26sqkm, or 9.97%, is water.[3]
