Lake Cahuilla is a reservoir located in Southern California's Coachella Valley in Riverside County, California,^[4] with a capacity of of water.^[5] The lake got its name from Ancient Lake Cahuilla that once covered surface areas of 5700km2 to a height of 12m (39feet) above sea level during the Holocene.^[6]
