LSD and the Search for God explained

LSD and the Search for God
Origin:San Francisco, California
Years Active:2005–present[1]

LSD and the Search for God is an American shoegaze band formed in San Francisco, California, in 2005.[1]

The band's founding members consist of singer and guitarist Andy Liszt, singer Sophia Campbell, and guitarist Chris Fifield, with several recurring and past members being part of the band's lineup throughout its history.[2] The origin of the group's name is a reference to author William Braden (author)'s book The Private Sea: LSD and the Search for God. They gained traction after the release of their debut self-titled EP in 2007 under record label Mind Expansion.[3] The EP sold out and was reissued on vinyl the following year via Deep Space Recordings.[4] In 2016, they released their only new material since, an EP titled Heaven is a Place.[5] However, the band remains active and have gained a cult following.[6] [7] Guitarist Andy Liszt uses a Marshall Shredmaster distortion pedal among his equipment.[8]
