Kuyulu (Syriac: Shehirkan) is a village in the İdil District of Şırnak Province in Turkey.[1] The village is populated by Kurds of the Hesinan tribe and had a population of 394 in 2021.[2]

The hamlet of Tepeli is attached to Kuyulu.

History

Shehirkan (today called Kuyulu) was historically inhabited by Syriac Orthodox Assyrians. By the time of the Sayfo, the village was inhabited by 100 people in twenty families of whom half were slaughtered whilst the survivors escaped to Hah.
