Kulsze is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Banie Mazurskie, within Gołdap County, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, in north-eastern Poland, close to the border with the Kaliningrad Oblast of Russia.[1] It lies approximately 5km (03miles) north-east of Banie Mazurskie, 160NaN0 west of Gołdap, and 1170NaN0 north-east of the regional capital Olsztyn. It is located in the historic region of Masuria.

History

The origins of the village date back to 1576, when Maciej Sapała bought land to establish a village.[2] For centuries, it remained an ethnically Polish village.[2]
