Krasnogvardeysky District (Russian: Красногварде́йский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[2] district (raion), one of the thirty-five in Orenburg Oblast, Russia. It is located in the northwest of the oblast. The area of the district is 2800km2.[3] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Pleshanovo. Population: 21,097 (2010 Census). The population of Pleshanovo accounts for 16.5% of the district's total population.
