Krasnobakovsky District (Russian: Красноба́ковский райо́н) is an administrative district (raion), one of the forty in Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, Russia.[1] Municipally, it is incorporated as Krasnobakovsky Municipal District.[2] It is located in the north of the oblast. The area of the district is 1757.8km2. Its administrative center is the urban locality (a work settlement) of Krasnye Baki. Population: 22,524 (2010 Census); The population of Krasnye Baki accounts for 32.4% of the district's total population.
