Korsakovsky District (Russian: Корса́ковский райо́н) is an administrative district (raion) of Sakhalin Oblast, Russia; one of the seventeen in the oblast.[2] Municipally, it is incorporated as Korsakovsky Urban Okrug.[3] It is located in the southeast of the oblast. The area of the district is 2623.6km2.[4] Its administrative center is the town of Korsakov. Population (excluding the administrative center):
