Korkyně is a municipality and village in Příbram District in the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 200 inhabitants.
The village of Křížov is an administrative part of Korkyně.
The name is derived from the surname Kůrka.[2]
Korkyně is located about northeast of Příbram and 28km (17miles) south of Prague. It lies in the Benešov Uplands. The highest point is the Okrouhlík hill at 451m (1,480feet) above sea level.
The first written mention of Korkyně is from 1316, when the village was the centre of a small estate.[3]
There are no railways or major roads passing through the municipality.
There are no protected cultural monuments in the municipality.[4] The main landmark of the centre of Korkyně is a chapel.
