Kochubey (Russian: links=no|Кочубей) is a rural locality (a selo) in Tarumovsky District, Republic of Dagestan, Russia. Population: There are 35 streets.[2]

Geography

Kochubey is located 38 km north of Tarumovka (the district's administrative centre) by road. Talovka is the nearest rural locality.[3]

Climate

Kochubey has a cold arid climate (Köppen climate classification BWk), with moderate-cold winters and some of the hottest summers in Russia. Precipitation is quite low during all year with some maximum in summer.
