Kirschsteiniothelia Explained
Kirschsteiniothelia is a genus of fungi in the class Dothideomycetes. The relationship of this taxon to other taxa within the class is unknown (incertae sedis).[1]
The genus name of Kirschsteiniothelia is in honour of Wilhelm Kirschstein (1863 - 1946), who was a German schoolteacher and mycologist.[2]
The genus was circumscribed by David Leslie Hawksworth in Bot. J. Linn. Soc. vol.91 on page 182 in 1985.
