Kilmezsky District (Russian: Кильме́зский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[2] district (raion), one of the thirty-nine in Kirov Oblast, Russia. It is located in the southeast of the oblast. The area of the district is 3106.4km2.[3] Its administrative center is the urban locality (an urban-type settlement) of Kilmez. Population: 16,132 (2002 Census); The population of Kilmez accounts for 45.5% of the district's total population.
