Kielno is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Szemud, within Wejherowo County, Pomeranian Voivodeship, in northern Poland.[1] It lies approximately 9km (06miles) south-east of Szemud, 180NaN0 south of Wejherowo, and 220NaN0 north-west of the regional capital Gdańsk. It is located within the historic region of Pomerania.
Kielno was initially probably named Kolno.[2] Kielno was a royal village of the Polish Crown,[2] administratively located in the Gdańsk County in the Pomeranian Voivodeship.[3] The local parish priest Zygmunt Niwicki was the royal secretary of 17th-century Polish kings.[2]
