Kibara coriacea is a plant in the family Monimiaceae. The specific epithet Latin: [[:wikt:coriaceus|coriacea]] is from the Latin meaning "leathery", referring to the leaves.
Kibara coriacea grows as a shrub or tree measuring up to 15m (49feet) tall with a diameter of up to 15cm (06inches). The smooth bark is pale grey. The ovoid fruits are drupes (pitted), ripen to deep blue, purple or black, and measure up to 20NaN0 long. The fruits are considered edible.
Kibara coriacea grows naturally in India, in Indonesia and Malaysia (including Borneo), and in Singapore. Its habitat is lowland rain forests and lower montane forests from sea-level to 1600m (5,200feet) altitude.
