Khvorostyansky District (Russian: Хворостя́нский райо́н) is an administrative[2] and municipal[3] district (raion), one of the twenty-seven in Samara Oblast, Russia. It is located in the west of the oblast. The area of the district is 2534km2.[4] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Khvorostyanka. Population: 16,302 (2010 Census); The population of Khvorostyanka accounts for 31.7% of the district's total population.
