Kholmsky District (Russian: Хо́лмский райо́н) is an administrative district (raion) of Sakhalin Oblast, Russia; one of the seventeen in the oblast.[2] Municipally, it is incorporated as Kholmsky Urban Okrug.[3] It is located in the southwest of the oblast. The area of the district is 2279km2. Its administrative center is the town of Kholmsk. Population (excluding the administrative center):
