Kharaji (Persian: خراجي) is a village in, and the capital of, Kiar-e Gharbi Rural District of the Central District of Kiar County, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province, Iran.
The village is populated by Lurs.[2]
At the time of the 2006 National Census, the village's population was 3,078 in 772 households, when it was in the former Kiar District of Shahrekord County.[3] The following census in 2011 counted 3,113 people in 964 households,[4] by which time the district had been separated from the county in the establishment of Kiar County. The rural district was transferred to the new Central District.[5] The 2016 census measured the population of the village as 2,880 people in 947 households. It was the most populous village in its rural district.[6]
