Kevin Kelly (born May 27, 1990) is a Dutch-Curaçaoan professional baseball pitcher for the Sultanes de Monterrey of the Mexican League. He played college baseball at Western Oklahoma State College and Southwestern Oklahoma State University and has also played professionally in the Netherlands and Italy.[1] He has also represented the Netherlands national baseball team at events beginning in 2010.
Kelly pitched for the Honkbal Hoofdklaase club Curaçao Neptunus in Rotterdam from 2014–2017 and 2019–2023. He has a 19-7 win-loss record and 24 saves in 250 innings pitched.
Kelly signed with the Rimini Baseball Club of the Italian Baseball League for the 2018 season.[2] In 15 games for the club, he compiled a 1.72 ERA with 19 strikeouts and 3 saves across innings pitched.
On April 17, 2024, Kelly signed with the Sultanes de Monterrey of the Mexican League.[3] On May 31, Kelly threw a no-hitter against the Pericos de Puebla, striking out three as Monterrey won 12–0.[4]
Kelly was chosen as a member of the Netherlands national baseball team for the 2010 Central American and Caribbean Games, 2011 World Port Tournament, 2013 World Port Tournament,[5] 2014 Haarlem Baseball Week,[6] 2015 World Port Tournament[7] 2016 exhibition games against Japan,[8] and 2017 World Baseball Classic.[9] He also played for Team Netherlands in the 2019 European Baseball Championship, the Africa/Europe 2020 Olympic Qualification tournament in September 2019, the 2019 WBSC Premier12, and the 2023 World Baseball Classic.[10]
