Kesäpäivä Kangasalla Explained

Kesäpäivä Kangasalla (Swedish:) also known as Mä oksalla ylimmällä is the regional anthem of Pirkanmaa, Finland. It was written in Swedish by Zachris Topelius in 1853 as part of the poetry collection .[1]

The song was composed by in 1864 and the song was made into the regional anthem of Pirkanmaa in 1995. The song is also sung during the summer in Kangasala.[2]
