Katsuraoka Station was served by the non-electrified section of the Esashi Line between and .
The station consisted of a single side platform serving a bidirectional single track.
Katsuraoka Station opened on 10 November 1936.[1] With the privatization of JNR on 1 April 1987, the station came under the control of JR Hokkaido.[1] The station closed in 2014, with the last services on the line running on 11 May.[2]
