Kathleen Lowe Melde is a Professor and Associate Dean in Electrical Engineering at the University of Arizona in Tucson.[1] She was named a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) in 2012 for her contributions to tunable antennae and their integration in electrical packaging.[2]

Melde received a B.S. from California State University, Long Beach in 1985, an M.S. from California State University, Northridge in 1987, and a Ph.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1996, all in electrical engineering.[1]
