Karingana ua Karingana explained

Karingana ua Karingana is the second work by the Mozambican writer José Craveirinha, written in 1963 and published in 1974.[1]

The work intended to poetically convey the daily lives of Mozambicans, at a time marked by the struggle against colonialism.[2] [3] [4] [5]

Karingana ua karingana is the expression used by the ronga when they begin to tell a traditional story. It corresponds to the expression "once upon a time" .[6] [7]
