Kapanga mana explained

Kapanga mana is a species of Hahniidae spider endemic to New Zealand.[1]

Taxonomy

This species was described in 1970 by Ray Forster from a female specimen. The holotype is stored in Te Papa Museum under registration number AS.000063.[2]

Description

The female s recorded at 1.84mm in length. The cephalothorax and legs are orange brown. The abdomen has a chevron pattern dorsally.

Distribution

This species is only known from Nelson, New Zealand.

Conservation status

Under the New Zealand Threat Classification System, this species is listed as "Data Deficient" with the qualifiers of "Data Poor: Size" and "Data Poor: Trend".[3]
