Calinichia (died), better known as Lady Calinica and sometimes as Kalinikia (Romanian; Moldavian; Moldovan: Calinichia, Romanian; Moldavian; Moldovan: Calinița or Romanian; Moldavian; Moldovan: Ana-Călina; Middle Bulgarian: Калиникіѧ, Kalinikĭę),[1] was the second wife of Radu I, a 14th-century Wallachian voivode (ruler). Calinichia was of Greek origin,[2] [3] and was the mother of Mircea I of Wallachia.[4] She was also possibly a Byzantine princess.
