Kakinada Rural mandal is one of the 21 mandals in the Kakinada district of the state of Andhra Pradesh, India. It has its headquarters at Kakinada. The mandal is bounded by Samalkota mandal, Pedapudi mandal, Karapa mandal, Kothapalle mandal and waters of Bay of Bengal.[2]

Demographics

Government and politics

Kakinada (rural) mandal is under Kakinada Rural (Assembly constituency) which in turn is a part of Kakinada (Lok Sabha constituency), one of the 25 Lok Sabha constituencies representing Andhra Pradesh.[4] The present MLA is Kurasala Kanna Babu, who won the 2019 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly election representing YSR Congress Party.[5] [6]
