Early life

He also represented Vic Country in the AFL National Under 18 Championships. Lohmann was selected by the Lions with pick 20 in the 2021 national draft.[1]

AFL career

Lohmann made his debut in Round 5 of the 2022 AFL season against Collingwood[2] Although he only managed 8 games in 2 seasons with the Lions, Lohmann still signed a two-year contract extension with the team in September of 2023,[3] despite Essendon showing interest in signing him.[4] The contract extension proved to ignite his career, playing every game of the 2024 season as of round 10.[5] Lohmann kicked 5 goals from 14 disposals against in a 119-point victory at the Gabba in round 10. The performance earned him a rising star nomination.[6]
