Kabuna is located in the north of Tabiteuea, near the main island Nuribenua. The Motu forms the transition to the strongly fragmented eastern reef hem. The place of the same name is located in the south of the island. With Tauma in the north, the island is connected by the Kabuna Causeway dam.[2] In the village there is a traditional Assembly house: Kabuna Maneaba.
