Justin Aversano (born 23 September 1992) is an American multidisciplinary artist, creative director, CEO, and portrait photographer. He gained international attention for his Twin Flames series, which features portraits of twins, exploring themes of identity, connection, and duality.[1]
His work often delves into the human experience, using photography as a medium to capture and express stories and emotions of his subjects. In 2021, Aversano garnered attention in the art world for his Twin Flames series, "a photographic exploration of the phenomenology of twins".[2]
Debuting in 2018 as a collection of traditional photographs,[3] in 2021 Twin Flames went on to become the first non-fungible token (NFT) lot to be offered in a Photographs auction.[4] Twin Flames #83. Bahareh & Farzaneh, accompanied by Twin Flames Full Physical Collection, 2017-2018 sold at auction for $1.1 million dollars, and is the most expensive photograph NFT ever sold.[5]
