Jurkowice is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Stary Targ, within Sztum County, Pomeranian Voivodeship, in northern Poland.[1] It lies approximately 5km (03miles) north-west of Stary Targ, 80NaN0 north-east of Sztum, and 560NaN0 south-east of the regional capital Gdańsk.

Before 1772 the area was part of Kingdom of Poland, and in 1772–1945 it belonged to Prussia and Germany. For the history of the region, see History of Pomerania.
