Miller fould a majority of his success in the modified ranks, winning the championship in the SMART Modified Tour seven times between 1991 and 2000, and the NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour in 2005 and 2006, thus earning the nickname "King of the Southern Modifieds".[1]
