Jowkar District (fa|بخش جوکار) is in Malayer County, Hamadan province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Jowkar.[2]

History

After the 2011 National Census, Tork-e Sharqi Rural District was transferred to the Central District.[3]

Demographics

Population

At the time of the 2006 census, the district's population was 52,445 in 12,332 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 50,487 people in 13,875 households.[5] The 2016 census measured the population of the district as 37,046 inhabitants in 11,326 households.[6]
