Josh Levy Explained

Josh Benjamin Israel Levy (born March 1974)^[1] is a British Reform rabbi and Chief Executive of the Movement for Reform Judaism, a post he has held since May 2023 and full time since November 2023.^[2]

He is working in partnership with Charley Baginsky, the chief executive of Liberal Judaism, on the creation of a unified movement in the United Kingdom for Progressive Judaism.^[3]

From 2008 to 2023, Levy was Rabbi of North Western Reform Synagogue (also known as "Alyth") at Temple Fortune in northwest London.^{[4] [5]}

He is an alumnus of Exeter College, Oxford University and of the London School of Economics.^[4]
