Jose Montemayor Jr., (age 61–62) is a Filipino lawyer and doctor who ran for president in the 2022 Philippine presidential election. He was born in Sasmuan, Pampanga.

Early life

Montemayor was born in Sasmuan, Pampanga on 1948. While other sources recall him being born in Imus, Cavite.

Montemayor went to the Far Eastern University, receiving the Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology, and the Doctor of Medicine degrees.

Career

Montemayor currently works as the Legal Counsel and Legal Officer of the Philippine Heart Center, the Consultant in Internal Medicine and Clinical Cardiology at the National Kidney and Transplant Institute, and other positions.[1]

He ran for president on the 2022 Philippine presidential election, receiving 60,592 votes or 0.11% of the votes.[2] [3]

Political positions

OFW

Montemayor said that "He will protect the rights of the OFW (Overseas Filipino Workers) and he will provide legal and medical assistance to the workers".[4]

Drug addicts

Montemayor says that he will remove the Operation Tokhang (Tokhang meaning "knock and plead" in Cebuano) because of certain instances of death, he says that he will address the issue some other way.[5]
