John Donald Lamontagne[1] (born) is a United States Air Force general who has served as the commander of Air Mobility Command since September 9, 2024.[2] He most recently served as the deputy commander of the United States Air Forces in Europe – Air Forces Africa. He previously served as the chief of staff of the United States European Command.[3] [4] [5] [6] [7]

In July 2024, Lamontagne was nominated for promotion to general and assignment as the commander of Air Mobility Command.[8] [9]

General Lamontagne has over 4,000 hours of flight in C-12, KC-135R and C-17 aircraft. [4]
